POEM OF THE WEEK

RECIPE FOR THE PERFECT FRUITCAKE

Oh children dear, oh children dear,
Come closer if you want to hear
My recipe on how to make
The biggest, tastiest, sweetest fruitcake
That's ever, ever, ever been built
And guaranteed to never wilt!
Get some fruit, ten bushels will do,
And thirteen gallons of crazy glue.
Just mix it up and set it right,
And it'll last many a Christmas night.
Oh? You say you want to eat it?
That you have no desire to keep it?
Well then listen closer and I'll tell you more:
(Forget this; go buy one at the store).
