Delete confirmation

I am an English teacher, not working right now so that I can be home for my children. I am lucky to have had the choice but I miss the students and my co-workers. I think a lot about teaching as a profession. Teachers are one of the most important influences on children and therefore on the future of our society, so why are they not the most respected and highly paid? Please share your thoughts with me. I want to do something, take some action, start a movement, something- to advance teaching as a profession. Thanks for taking the time to answer.
