Delete confirmation

Each year I have a handful of students who continue to struggle as readers. During the summers and after school I have tutored some of these students. I want to do so again...but feel like I"m just repeating the same 1st grade material over again. Does anyone have any ideas of how I can strengthen their skills in short months of summer and/or after school during the year. The kids really struggle with sight word recognition at first...which of course leads to comprehension & fluency problems. Are there any "mini miracles" that I can use to help these kids?
